ohne, Exemplar Nr. ohne, gemarkt Firmenmarke Schwertknauf in einem Wappenschild (Marke schwer lesbar) gepresst, nicht signiert, Literatur: Gisela Reineking von Bock, Meister der deutschen Keramik 1900 bis 1950, Seite 181 ff., Beschreibung der Fabrik sowie Seite 323, Marke Nr. 110 identisch, weitere Literatur: Walther Franzius, in Jahrbuch der staatlichen Kunstsammlungen in Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg Band 12, Jahr 1975, Werner Knauf \u2013 Ein zu Unrecht vergessener Keramiker, Seiten 205 \u2013 212, Werner Knauf arbeitete von 1920 bis 1926 f\u00fcr die Firma S\u00e4chsische Edelkeramik in Karlsruhe, Beiertheim, 1926 \u00fcbernahm er die Firma und gr\u00fcndete die Knauf-Keramik, Knauf exportierte in 17 L\u00e4nder, 1942\/1943 wurde die Werkstatt durch Bombenangriffe zumindest zum Teil zerst\u00f6rt, das MEK Exemplar D\/CVIII\/1 bezeugt, dass Knauf zumindest 1946 wieder in dieser Werkstatt t\u00e4tig war, 1950 zog Knauf mit seiner Werkstatt nach Ittersbach (heute Karlsbad) bei Karlsruhe um und sein Sohn Dr. Horst Knauf arbeitete in der Werkstatt mit, 1959 verstarb Werner Knauf und Dr. Horst Knauf \u00fcbernahm die Werkstatt, Durchmesser 31 cm<\/p>\n<p><a
